Why you need to try Microneedling

Why is Microneedling so popular?

Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, this treatment is virtually painless and provides phenomenal results with little to no downtime. Using fine needles to create thousands of micro injuries in the skin, it stimulates the skin’s natural wound-healing process. This results in increased cell turnover and collagen and elastin production, which reverse and prevent the signs of aging. It noticeably reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, texture irregularities, crepey skin, scarring , discoloration and stretch marks, and can be used on most areas of the body.

Platelet Rich Plasma, which is derived from a patient’s own blood, contains powerful growth factors and cytokines that boosts and amplifies results of Microneedling. Adding PRP is optional, but because of its own  collagen stimulating capabilities, it speeds up the healing time and repairs the tissue faster. PRP is also beneficial for those suffering from Rosacea.

If you have skin concerns such as:

• Fine Lines + Wrinkles

• Texture + Tone

• Acne Scars

• Large Pores

• Stretch Marks

Collagen production and cell turnover beings to decrease in your 30’s, so this treatment is great to start during that stage of life or earlier for preventative measures.

Noticeable results occur about 2-4 weeks from the time of treatment, with optimal results up to 6 months with additional follow up treatments. A series of 3-6 treatments is suggested spaced 4- 6 weeks apart. Some conditions, such as deeper wrinkles, stretch marks, and deep acne scarring could take 6-8 treatments for best results.  Right after your treatment, you may experience some redness that typically subsides within a day. Afterwards, your skin is left plump and glowing. At least 24 hours after your treatment, you will want to avoid heavy sweating or heavy makeup application to avoid irritation.
