KYBELLA® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat beneath the chin (submental fullness) by physically reducing fat cells.
Now you can get rid of your pesky double chin without surgery! While injectables have always been used to reverse the signs of aging in faces, there was no great solution for getting rid of extra fat around the jowls and under the chin without surgery. Now you can with Kybella (deoxycholic acid).*
Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved nonsurgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness – commonly referred to as “double chin.” Kybella can significantly improve chin contouring without the invasiveness and downtime of surgery.

Who is a candidate for Kybella Injectable Treatment?
Kybella is an ideal treatment for anyone who wants to eliminate fatty areas on the neck and chin.
How Does Kybella Work?
Kybella is a synthetic formulation of deoxycholic acid – a substance that naturally occurs in your body. This substance, when synthesized, is used to break down and absorb dietary fat. For over 9 years, Kybella has been under development and has been the subject of over 20 clinical studies involving more than 2,600 patients.
When properly injected in the submental area, Kybella has been shown to dissolve the fat that causes double chin. The result – a more streamlined neck and enhanced contour along the jawline.
How Long Does the Kybella Treatment Take?
Unlike surgery to remove a double chin or neck fat, Kybella injectable treatment requires only a short office visit. Typically this treatment only takes 15-20 minutes. Treatment length is similar to other injectable fillers like Botox and Juvederm.
What is the downtime with Kybella injections?
While you may experience some bruising and/or swelling at the injection site, there is typically no downtime associated with Kybella injectable treatment. Slight swelling can last between 4 and 7 days.
