Kybella is an ideal treatment for anyone who wants to eliminate fatty areas on the neck and chin.
Kybella is a synthetic formulation of deoxycholic acid – a substance that naturally occurs in your body. This substance, when synthesized, is used to break down and absorb dietary fat. For over 9 years, Kybella has been under development and has been the subject of over 20 clinical studies involving more than 2,600 patients.
When properly injected in the submental area, Kybella has been shown to dissolve the fat that causes double chin. The result – a more streamlined neck and enhanced contour along the jawline.
Unlike surgery to remove a double chin or neck fat, Kybella injectable treatment requires only a short office visit. Typically this treatment only takes 15-20 minutes. Treatment length is similar to other injectable fillers like Botox and Juvederm.
While you may experience some bruising and/or swelling at the injection site, there is typically no downtime associated with Kybella injectable treatment. Slight swelling can last between 4 and 7 days.
